Lets all be honest! The only reason everyone is cool with this fight is because you all know Paulie barely beat Cano via gift. If any other 135lber on earth moved up two divisions to fight a champ everyone would be calling the champ a cherry picker. The only reason you all are fine with it is because you know 1)Broner who walks in the ring at 147lb will have no problem with the weight 2) Paulie is a paper champion. So quit all of the "you would think a fighter jumping two divisions would get some credit BS. Anybody that knows anything about boxing knows this is a thinly veiled CHERRY PICK! All broner had to consider in this fight before taking it is one thing! CAN I MOVE UP TO 147 AND BE AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN CANO? If the answer is yes, sign by the X. Let's stop ****riding and be honest men here at NSB.

LOL how can anyone defend this?

I've seen some ducking moves, but this takes the cake. He leapfrogs the deepest division in the sport, filled with killers like Peterson, Matthysse, Garcia Rios and Khan. To move up to WW to fight the worst champion at the weight class, Malignaggi...

No question Malignaggi is the weakest champion, I don't wanna hear someone try to dispute that. He's holding the belt for some young champ to come along and take it from him. When he wins he's not going to be making any title defenses. If Keith Thurman calls him out to fight he's going to vacate the belt and move back down to 135.

Not even you believe that crap. If he wanted to fight at 140 to win a title he would be doing that instead of fighting a Mallinaggi who is even weaker than anyone in the top 8 at 140!!

Yes, nobody can argue otherwise. But who's to say Broner won't fight them after?

True, but at least four of them can get to 147...three of them should be there anyway (Garcia, Peterson, Khan)

I don't mind this match up. It's way better than Paulie fighting Mosely. He gets to fight a known boxer that can get him that $$ like he wants and in my opinion hed get smoked against any top Welterweight that can bring the $$ he wants so it's a bit more even. Broner moving up 2 weight classes is a bit of a risk on his part see how he can adjust. Overall decent fight

Similarly, Broner is skipping over 140 to avoid Matthysse and Garcia and instead fighting faded old Malinaggi.
Tszyu lost against Hatton before Floyd made the jump to Welterweight.

You being dense? I said yes, he has movement, but he gets hit too much for my liking.

Did you just completely skip over that part? As fast as Gmaboa is with his feet, Broner is just as fast with his hands. Not to mention he'd have a reach advantage. As soon as Gamboa goes in on him, expect a step back right counter to meet his face.
