hes a hard working, young guy and hes got a good team around him which means he will have learned from that fight and improved.

besides, cloud couldnt handle campillos height, reach, workrate and long southpaw jab. none of which hopkins brings to the table.

meanwhile cloud brings the worst possible style for hopkins to fight at this point in his career, hes a very strong and durable pressure fighter who cuts the ring off well. he is fundamentally sound, throws short punches, has good versatility, throws great combinations and works the body a lot. on top of all that hes very tough and mentally strong, it will be hard to get in his head.

its hard to see hopkins having the fire power to make cloud take a step back or the legs to stay on the move for 12 rounds. if he cant keep cloud off him he will get worn down quickly, cloud throws bombs. cloud is very underrated, ppl put to much into his loss to campillo when in reality it made him a better fighter. besides styles make fights.

i respect what your saying, but how do you know that loss to campillo made him a better fighter when he has not fought since, for me that makes no sense

i think hopkins will enjoy clouds straight in the line attacks and if he can still pull the trigger then surely hopkins will be able to slow down clouds output and beat him with right hand leads all night long!! i think hopkins ring IQ is being very under-rated!! also people talk about hopkins being weight drain remember against pascal am pretty sure he missed weight the first time!
