I don't believe GBP did a particularly good job for Khan and I understand Burns is in a different situation but I think another British promoter (not named Warren) would be a better move for him.

At the time though Khan couldn't stop talking about the prospect of being a star in America. Like the other guy said he had, had a fight in NYC and Vegas. Also geographically having Khan fight in East Coast cities like DC and NYC makes it easier for Brits willing to travel to watch Khan.

What makes you think Matchroom would have him avoid Broner?

I meant more along the lines of dragging the Broner match out. Burns would fight a few more people think, then maybe broner. If Burns lost to Broner whilst a Matchroom fighter he would struggle to get big fights again. Uder the GBP he would be fed to Khan and all the other big names. He would get beaten up a bit but earn way more dough.

I hope he doesn't sign with them, I don't think they'd have the interests of his career at heart. They matched Khan poorly and got him robbed and knocked out. They got Matthysse robbed twice too.

Peterson was hardly a robbery and both Garcia and Peterson were heavy underdogs. Garcia was a 1 to 5 underdog and Peterson was a 1 to 7 underdog. How big of an underdog do you want Khan's opponents to be until you're satisfied? 1 to 15?

Also, I don't think Matthysse was with Golden Boy for the Judah and Alexander fights.
