Lucas applies intelligent pressure, he is one of the very best in the game at cutting a ring off. Hes got a granite chin and huge power in both hands.
    His body punching is lethal.

I think stylistically hes the guy to give Floyd the biggest problems. Not Lara with no inside game, not slow-footed Canelo.

That said I don't feel for one minute he'll have it easy with Guerrero.

I would love to see this presuming they both pull through their next fight and ideally I'd like Lucas to test the waters at 147 first but I'd still have no real problem with it as a first fight at welter.

I agree, Lucas has the right style/menatality to fight Mayweather.....

    Especially now.
Mayweather has clearly slowed over the years and his legs seem like they startin to go, judging by his most recent fights.

If Lucas jumps to 147 do we still have to hear that garcia is ducking him?

All of this said, and he probably won't even make it past Lamont Peterson. this post along with 100s of other posts exaggerating Matthysse, will be laughed at after Peterson beats him.

No the winner of peterson/matthysse should face the winner of garcia/judah and THEN the winner of that should face floyd

Agree with you, but 7 lbs. can be huge for Lucas. I'd prefer him to take a tune up fight against a WW player, and then setup the fight.

I HATE when a fighter jumps up or down to a new weight class, and it's their biggest fight.

Peterson gave Floyd hell in sparring so that fight would have a back story. But not yet.

The Canelo vs Trout winner is a much better fight.

Here we go again the matthysse hype train rolling through again why even talk mayweather why not put the "killer" in with people who can challenge him (i.e. the terminater, predator,Hercules etc,.) because its clear when he fought Judah and Alexander he walked right through them.please don't talked about how he won those fights he lost get over it. those are two toughest bouts in his career ,yes he can knock out bums but not elite boxers.enough is enough good but not great fighter. Plus Peterson (who will probably be his toughest opponent to date)is going to show a good majority of you how good matthysse really is

I think Matt's would become very ordinary at 147lb with the fighters mixing it up there..Hell Matt's is going to have some trouble at 140lb with the boy's waiting in the lurch there..

This Matthysse hype has gotten way outta control. Funny thing is, I bet as soon as a Mayweather - Matthysse fight is signed, people would be saying why he wouldn't deserve credit for beating him. Hopefully Lamont stops this hype train because he actually is one of the few guys below 154 who could stand a chance.
