Looks like the move up in weight has helped.

Santa Cruz might also receive that benefit. But Mijares a solid boxer with experience was able to box Rafa.

Leo is still a bit green. This aint a bad stay busy fight.

Mijares is 19-0 above 118 pounds. He had a bunch of super bantamweight fights in the first half of his career.

Leo moving up for the first time.

      Might not be horrible.
It will certainly be a good fight in that Santa cruz will be exciting unloading on him but its really a mismatch

tbh this would prob be a very good fight for the televised undercard for Mayweather fight bc a lot of casuals will love the number of punches and exchanges between Santa Cruz vs Marquez

did you see his last fight? He looked slow and was pushing most if not all his punches. He has lost it.

Rafa doesn't deserve to be cannon fodder. He has always been willing to take tough fights be he should just hang em up at this point. He's giving us all he has and been in some great fights. I really don't want to see something terrible happen to him.

They can find better match ups for Leo than this. Mijares, Mathebula, Darchinyan, Hasegawa, Frampton, and Quigg are all much better fights for Santa Cruz if he's going to be fighting at 122.

I really wanted to see Santa Cruz fight Yamanaka at 118, but I know it won't happen. IMO their the two best bantamweights in the world.

Marquez will take a severe beating but at least he'll get paid nicely.

                    So Moreno's off? That's a real shame.

Marquez will get destroyed but it will be fun while it lasts.
