Comments Thread For: Pablo Cesar Cano Focused on Securing Title Shot Soon

Pablo Cesar Cano ended the strongest portion of his training camp, and says he is ready to make a big impression on the 16th of March in Cancun where they will face American contender Manuel Perez. Cano hopes to land another world title opportunity in the coming months. In his last fight, Cano moved up to welterweight and lost a close twelve round split decision to WBA champion Paulie Malignaggi.

you were just granted a title shot and your fat ass couldn't make weight to fulfil it.

i liked what i'd seen of this kid prior to Malignaggi, but he embarrassed himself on those scales. damn joker.

that was pretty weird, he didn't have problems making 140 for the morales bout, but then he fail to make 147?

That would be a great fight but he's trying to campaign at 140 now.

Cano is one of my favorite fighters at 140 right now. I thought he was robbed against Paulie but I really didn't feel that bad for him since he didn't make weight. IMO he still kind of looks soft at 140, a good strength and conditioning coach would probably benefit him greatly.

He still beat the 147 belt holder. The belt wasnt on the line anyway, so even if he won on the cards he wouldnt be the WBA champ
