Im not a Canelo groupie but an older, slower and weaker Cotto landed some shots that slowed trout down a bit. if Alvarez lands his body head combos early, trout will slow down fast and get bombed on all night

I don't think it would be as good as once thought. I think Cotto is smaller than Canelo and he's tailor made for him at this stage of his career.

It would make sense money wise, because of the Mexico vs PR thing, and the fact that Cotto would be a nice name to add to the resume of Canelo but I see a one sided beating.

Cotto just doesn't throw and move the way he once did. Canelo walks him down and applies a serious beating on him for at least 10 rounds before the fight is stopped.

You got to be kidding me. Vanes is better than Mosley (yes, the washed-up one), Kermit, Rhodes or even Gomez? Geez, Vanes would struggle with each and every one of these guys. Being as how you are the #1 Canelo hater, how about you put your points where your posts are and bet me on the Trout v. Canelo fight?

I am inclined to think Alvarez is going to live up to his hype, I think he is very good. But he is by no means Marvin Hagler. Completely different type of fighter and his resume is not the trial by fire than Hagler's was, not even close.

Instead he still shows interest in fighting Miguel Cotto. Who he actually picks remains to be seen but I have a feeling a lot of you will be shut down again.
And what a grand day that will be!

I don't think it will get that high. I'm thinking 300-400k range. I'm not sure but I don't know of any boxers who put up big ppv numbers that young. Maybe someone can enlighten me. What did Chavez vs Martinez do?
