I don't give much credit to sparring victories, unless it's Valero, than I cream all over myself. Feel free to count that against me.

Pfffffffffft. NFW. Porter is 1/10th the fighter Jeff Lacy was quality wise.

I wouldn't say its completely meaningless. if your a world class fighter and your getting dropped while sparring, thats a problem. If your not getting good sparring in and not taking it seriously, how are you gonna deal with someone when their bringing it to you in a real fight.

I've seen better sparring sessions in the gym, than televised fights on HBO before.

Fair enough. Completely meaningless may have been overstating it, but at the end of the day you can only put so much stock into it (and it ain't much). But I definitely get your point, though.

LOL Pac didn't get out of first gear against Mayfield in that one round of sparring. He was playing with his food before eating it later.

exactly. they are pros going in there to put work in, trying to improve on certain aspects of the game. some kid gets all excited sparring a world champ and fights like hes boxing for the title.

most of the time they dont even put it on em, young bloods just go all out while the other guy is holding back so it looks like they are in control. in reality they arent in control at all.
