A better wording would be the worst world champion today, and yeah I would have to think Paulie. Although when I think of underserving champs I think of the Chavez Jr's and Canelo's of the world. Canelo is good, but he was still gift wrapped his title. Good thing for him he's finally fighting someone with a pulse.
Malinaggi has considerable skill. He has no punch but has been in with man killers. He certainly deserves whatever he has. The one I'm thinking about as being a poor champion (as opposed to being undeserving) is Smith, who just beat Bundrage. Maybe one or two of the very light weights, although they have the excuse that there is not much opposition at those minimum weights.

Andre Berto before he lost to Victor Ortiz and now Adrien Broner, who fights some of the worst fighters the sport has to offer, and also should have suffered a loss to PDL but was given a gift in it's place.

Ohh I see. I thought you said the worst way to get a title is via robbery. My bad, you did say that. In Cloud's case that should have been (keep) a title.

Bradley- got his belt as a gift & then acts like he actually "won"

CANELO- not only did he fight mathew Hatton for it, but has yet to step in with a real 154 lb fighter

Mayweather- (WBC welter belt) got it by sucker punching Ortiz while Ortiz was not looking then acting as if did nothing wrong, oh & then his fans glorify it.

I would have said Ishe Smith, but IMO this guy (http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hum...7371&cat=boxer) is about as bad.

At least he's fighting guys in his division that are ranked in the top 10. They may not be good but they are ranked.

Canelo hasn't faced a single top 10 fighter in his division... He's skilled, but he hasn't faced anyone.
