What are people crying about. Call it what you want but it wasn a robbery. Maybe u guys were persuaded by the mostly Mexican crown who were there for cAnelo. The 6 round explains it perfectly. Ponce threw 40 more punches but broner landed 2 more. First 3 rounds ponce was throwinG a lot and he was hitting his arms then getting countered. Broner was hurting him and knocking him off balance al night. Ponce was more active but not accurate. Easy decision IMO

If I recall correctly I think Roy Jones actually LOLed when they announced the results for this one.

or at least post which rounds you think he won?
Usually my score cards go along with the general public but I gave broner the first 7 rounds. He was much more effective.

Really? I thought Broner started poor and finished poor. He took the middle rounds but I don't think it was enough.

How on earth anyone could have given Broner the first three rounds is beyond me.

He barely won the 4th and clearly won the 5th 6th and 7th. The rest was all PDL as Broner did not do much.

its funny, right after the fight ppl were going "ponce could have got the decision", some time passes and all of a sudden ponce definitely won, by now its a highways robbery of epic proportions.

ppl dont know how to score fights though, they go by who throws more regardless of whether they land or not. some ppl actually think you score points by being aggressive alone even if the punches miss, in reality not only do you not score anything but your oponent scores on defense.

a lot of fans dont include defense when they score fights though and the same thing goes for ring generalship, then they want to turn around and call fights robberies when they clearly werent.

it was a close fight but ponce wasnt robbed at all, just like broner wouldnt have been robbed if it went in the other direction. the only thing ponce was robbed off was a rematch that should have taken place.

but if anyone won it was broner, great defense, cleaner punches and ring genralship was all in his favor. ponce outworked him in a few rounds especially early but broner rightfully won the fight.
this seems to be true on bs if you read most of the post on this site you can see how many people seem to give the opponent who is throwing more the benefit of the doubt all the time no matter how ugly and reckless some of those fighters may look

rounds 5,6,and 7 for all clean for Broner.
Rounds 4 and 8 were swing rounds for me. To me they were the only rounds that could go either way. I thought Broner had a good rally in round 4 to take it. Round 8 I gave to PDL mainly because Broner seemed to take that round off even though he did land a couple good shots, and PDL simply did more work.

If it came out a draw, I would have been OK with it as someone could give Broner those two swing rounds. But I guess some judges just ignore body punching.
i don't think judges ignore body punching they just probably can't tell which body punches are landing so while some of you give credit for every punch thrown most judges probably don't they probably only give credit to the punches they can tell actually landed
