50cent had a fighter on the undercard of last years most talked about fight and somehow he's losing? I can think of at least 4 other top promoters in the sport who would sell out their mama to have had a fighter on that undercard. Do you know how many people saw 50's and his fighters name on each article regarding Pacquaio's loss? For his first year as a promoter he's started out better than most i'd say.

How many people saw 50 on tv that night? How many ppl heard that song he performed? How many people tweeted about him that night, how many articles included his name the following day? Again, if Gamboa would've ended up on espn fighting I'd call it a fail, all around ask any pr person or any business person the publicity value more than made that a win for him alone, never mind his boxer put on a decent show and won his fight. You have to look at it from an all around point when it comes to this cat, he's lost his music buzz so any publicity is good for business at this point.

50 Cent will be OK but he has to understand when boxing fans go to a boxing event they strictly want to see BOXING...he needs to separate his Boxing Promoter from Music, please don't try to mix both because it looks so HORRIBLE

He looked ****** on Pacquiao vs JMM PPV, the Billy Dib thing was really ****** and on top of that his fighter LOST

If 50 is trying to do this Promoting thing by himself then it will fail because he don't know enough about boxing, but if he has the right people with him then he could end up building a decent Promotion

I still remember that arrogant tweet 50 sent to Oscar....Yeah Schandenfreud surely resulted from that misstep. 50 was also using Floyd. What did he bring to the table? Floyd is one of the few people who could get a money man his family has roots and gyms and cred among fighters...what does Curtis provide?

Thing is that Don King, Arum De La Hoya....The flash was part of selling the show.... Same thing for the martial arts, Parker, Dante, Oyama Banks....these guys would do anything....TO SELL A SHOW. Fifty does his thing to sell himself, big difference. It doesn't take brains or guile to be a boxing promoter. It takes connections, capital and the ability to harbor the illusion (whether real or not) that one is looking put/can be trusted by the fighter.

50 will run out of money before he can cover his ass as a promoter. That tweet showed everything one needed to see about 50...It was seen. Floyd always gets castigated for his decisions but you know what? that loadstone on his neck "50" was the best thing he ever absconded from.
