Common misconception. What's so weak about it? It looks weak, because the Klitschko's are so superior.

He'll go to the hall of fame because of his longevity and a great comeback and how dominant his wins were with a major title on the line but he'll never be great the way Wlad will be without pulling off a big win now or winning THE title again. That won't happen. Because the only way it happens is for Wlad to lose it to someone like Povetkin or Pulev or Haye and then have Vitali beat them at the age of 42,43,44...this is not happening. He's way way past it already. Anyone looking at him against Charr has to ask themselves if he could beat anybody worth anything to his legacy now let alone somebody good enough to take THE title off of Wlad. Vitali should just be happy that he earned a fortune and will get into the HOF and be talked about with some of the guys he idolized when he was a kid and get out now. Probably be considered a borderline great if he leaves before losing again.

What if he beat Haye next year?

          an ATG?

one of the top 100 fighters ever?

          not even close.

he's a hall of famer, though. he's been at the top of the HW division for years alongside his brother.

at his peak klitschko was hardly even touched. when he did get hit his chin was f#cking granite. his style kept guys at arms length and eating punches. he was so big he would eventually stop guys. that's a tough nut to crack.

that said, he lost his two biggest fights via stoppage.

the brothers will be remembered most for their brotherhood. two brothers ruled as a two headed HW champion for an entire era. as a man with a brother who is my best friend, i can't tell you how much i appreciate that

So Vitali is a freedom fighter because he wants democracy, and Ali is a traitor for fighting for equality and human rights? God, you must be the dumbest person alive.

As Jab noted earlier, you must have a good sense of boxing knowledge or a sensible ability to argue. You my friend, have neither.
Vitali Klitschko never fought in the parliament. He said to two officials holding him that they should better release him before it gets nasty that's it. Wait are you telling me that I am Vitali Klitschko? You made my day!

Some good points made in here.

Vitali is HOF no doubt, and his ATG status is determined by the individual definition of ATG.

I don't think that his resume is strong enough to put him there, but also IMO no HW that ever lived would have an easy night or guaranteed victory over prime Vitali.
It would be a close fight regardless who he fights and only a few would be favorite against him.

I have him in top20 HW resume wise, and top5 H2H wise.

H2H is a ******ed way to judge because it is nothing but speculation.

can't really agree on that, because in that case one would need to look at the boxrec and that's it.

I think that we, as noncasul boxing fans, can look more into it.

It's not just that Vitali won those fights, but it's how he won. Also how he looked in those fights he lost. I'm taking that into account too. That doesn't count much in resume ranking.. L on the resume is L on the resume, but we can take that into account for different rankings (h2h being one of them).
