Lol @ people calling Pianeta a good fighter, lol Klitschko fans pumping up their scrub opponents. I wonder if people have actually seen him fight, or just look at boxrec, anybody can look good on paper remember that.

Yes, I've seen him, in fact I've been following his career since 2007.

He was world amateur youth heavyweight champion. He's never been down either as a pro or as an amateur.

He's not flashy, but he's decent. I thought he was finished when I heard he had cancer a few years ago, but his treatment was successful. Pianeta is ranked #14 on BoxRec and #12 by the IBO computer. The highest ranked opponent he's defeated was ranked #18 at the time by the IBO computer.

Timothy Bradley's next opponent Provodnikov is ranked BoxRec #24 in a lighter weight division than Bradley (he's never fought at 147 before). The highest ranked fighter Provodnikov ever defeated was ranked #58 by the IBO computer. Nobody is whining and moaning about it, even though Bradley is ranked in the top 10 P4P.

Why is there such a double standard? Why are some people so hard on the Klitschkos?

It's funny you compare a 15 fight novice's opponents to someone that has been champion for 10 years. What is ok for one, is not ok for another. Shows just how much you know about boxing. Freedom is on my ignore list anyway. The crap he spouts is untrue.

Will you watch Wlad fight Pianeta,I suspect you will right ? Why else watch him if you don't enjoy watching ?
Oquendo how many in Germany will have heard of him, when was he last relevant in the States? RTL don't care who's relevant over there, figures will be significantly higher at home with Pianeta.
I don't watch all of Wlad's fights if that's what you're insinuating? After his stinker vs ibragimov, I have seen Peter, Mormeck and Wach live. And they were pretty much all as bad as Ibragimov. You have to realize that Wlad is not the champion of Germany, but of the world. He holds the biggest prize in sports, so fighting an unknown (outside of Germany) is unacceptable. I heard a lot of you klitschko fanboys bash Haye when he fought Harrison. Double standards are coming in again.

He couldn't make a deal with Povetkin as he refuses to turn up or has his trainer make excuses for him,the WBA have enforced he must fight him. Boytsov has been out a year with promotional problems.Pulev and Helenius both ranked no.1 and Helenius has been out a year.Arreola was the original opponent for Nov,before he was injured and Wach stepped in.come on Andrew thats desperation naming all them, who you gonna call next Haye ? He had his chance and blew it entering a ring unfit and conning his own fans.
There's a noticable difference in what is acceptable for Wlad and what is for Price. Though I know it was a mandatory, there's no excusing the second fight. It was a complete mismatch. So what is your excuse with Helenius or Pulev? Why haven't these guys been fighting Wlad? Because Helenius was out for a year? Come on, he could fight in May for the HW title. You know that. Povetkin is just an excuse. K2 just doesn't want to pay him what he thinks he's worth. simple- Don't even mention Haye. You bring him up more than I do.

His skills are comparable to that of Kirk Johnson (fat, harpooned whale), Kevin "Kingpin" Johnson. No reason to make him out to be any better just because he handled Tyson.
I respectfully disagree. Other than the bros, I don't see anyone in this era that he wouldn't compete with. Beating Berbick, McCall and Tyson 3 fights straight is arguably better than any run of 3 fights ANY of the current HW crop has managed. And that includes the bros.

Not really the best opponent who's out there but I guess no one else was available.

That may be the worst highlight I've ever seen. Not Pianetas fault, but those punches in slow mo and some crappy song to go with it.

It is what it is. I prefer Wladimir fight better fighters, and i will laugh at both the obsessive Klitschko haters as well as the obsessive bumsniffers on this site. You're equally dumb in my book.

I'll watch the fight. I'll root for Wlad to KO him. Then i expect him to fight a better fighter next time out.

And spare me your comments. Calling me a Klitschko hater when i spent the better part of last week arguing for both of them being underrated (and certainly better than Frank Bruno) is kind of ******ed. (and received lots of green K from the same fanatics that now call me a hater)
