I don't mind seeing Guerrero as an opponent for Floyd.

He's a good fighter, not a cherry pick. He's a bit smaller, but he's been fighting at welterweight.

Floyd has done a lot of cherry-picking in the past though - faded Cotto, faded Mosley, much smaller JMM, etc.

I don't even like Mayweather but you can tell people expect a bit too much from him.
I think most people think Guerrero will make it tough for Floyd. I think the main issue regarding Floyd is that people think he has wasted so much of his career and has a bit of catching up to do, and has to make more of a statement. So people make suggestions to Floyd as to whom he should fight to say how really good Floyd is. Wouldnt it be amazing for Floyd if he could beat Martinez at 160 and that would shut up some of Floyds critics who have a go at him for taking it so easy for the last 5 years.

Pac wouldnt think twice about fighting Guerrero level type guys. And Pac fights these guys every 6 months or so. So people just think Floyd has more to prove, rather than expect too much of him.

He was a good fighter and had a very solid career. He was just getting up there in age by that time and was out of his natural weight class.

But it was Floyd's first fight at 147 so it wasn't that bad of an opponent selection.

because floyd just won the 154 lb title in his last fight. Now he's fighting a career 130 pounder with two fights at welter and his best opponent to date at welter is andre freaking berto and if you saw that fight and how it went then you would know guerrerro stands no chance whatsoever to be competitive let alone win.

            that's why.

RG had Berto pissing blood, closed both of his eyes, took all his punches, showed a chin and showed legit WW strength.

                But hes a lightweight.

U didn't know, there are only about 2 fighters in this world that wouldn't be a cherry pick for Floyd. Everyone else...unacceptable. Nevermind that Guerrero is the best available option. Everyone ignores that point really well.

I wouldn't call it a cherry pick. I think its going to be a tough night for Floyd.
