we get that the money is all he is about but money was'nt the most important thing when it came to fighting pacquiao , it was his health thats the priority at that time...
Everything he does revolves around money. He's been fighting once a year because of the amount of money he makes per fight. He picks opponents coming off big wins to create more buzz for the upcoming fight. He picks opponents with fanbases because they bring more money to the table. He fights Mexicans on Mexican holidays because of what?........Money.

Why he didn't fight Pacquiao has been debated ad nauseam to the point that it has its own thread. My opinion is that between Floyd, Manny and Arum, the only person who gave a **** if that fight happened or not was Manny. If all three wanted to get it done it would of happened.

      A few things to consider.

      1) Nobody knows how much the BIG Showtime deal is for, and we'll never know-perhaps it's similar to his "best ever" self-guarantee of $32 mill for the Cotto fight; until then Tyson had the record with $31 mill.....

      2) Mayweather tells lies, and persuades others to tell them as well.

      3) The deal is for "up to" 6 bouts.

      4) Mayweather has only fought 4 times in the past 5 years, against comparatively easy marks and he's now much older.

      5) His "undisclosed" settlement with Pacquiao and Top Rank must have cost him a large fortune. so he could be seeing a cash squeeze.'

All in all, I;m not saying that it's a farce, but I'm thinking that with Mayweather, nothing is ever nearly as good as it's represented tp be.

i get it, everbody fights for money...no need to keep repeating it..

again, your logic does'nt make sense coz common sense tells, the more fights he gets into , the more money he gets ..so how is fighting once a year the more logical thing to do ?..it doe'nt make sense..

and even if that's the case why then , all of a sudden he wants to fight more often?..

        i'll tell what makes sense:

he was inactive at that time becuase his division was too hot and he's fighting more now becuase his divison is not.. thats the simpliest reason behind floyds past and current actions...

Again, when you make $30 million by fighting once per year there's no need to fight twice. What did Bob Arum say? "Floyd only fights when he needs money"

It's clear as day. Everybody knows what his motives are.

And he wants to be active now because he doesn't want to fight until he's 50. It's what you call cashing out at the end of your career.

And who's to say he's going to fight 6 more times. He's not even obligated to.

when your goal is to make the most money, then there is a need to fight more often or as much as possible...i thought arum was a liar, now all a sudden he's telling the truth

sorry but i dont need arum for my judgement..

if he did'nt want to fight until his 50 , should'nt being more active when he was younger have been more helpful ?

many say he's fought hof'ers ,but why do you think up to this date, diego corrales (RIP) who's not even a HOF'er remains his best win? why ? thats right , it is becuase floyd did'nt fight them when it really mattered...
it's also cause he's going broke.

Lol. You just don't want the truth. Clear as day. Old ass Bob Arum even knows the deal.

50 cent even said it. Boxing is his only income. You just have an agenda to portray him as a duck like other pac fans on this board so you're being stubborn.

Money drives all of Floyd Mayweather's career decisions and he fights who he wants, when he wants. And no I'm not defending him I'm criticizing him.
