If I was Mayweather I would wait till May 2014 to fight Canelo, I would even be recorded saying am retiring and not interested in fighting Canelo, that way I would get my money from all the dumba*s who would believe that am truly scared of fighting Canelo.

2 things would happen. Either Canelo proves he's the goods, and the risk to Floyd grows proportionate to reward. Or he gets beaten/exposed along the way, his marketability suffers. Haven't you learned yet about letting it stew?

Hatton was roughing Floyd up until he sucker punched Ricky on the break....don't forget that. Ricky was also the 140 lb champ, he moved up to fight Floyd, lets not forget that fact either.
