Canelo wants to set himself up for a huge payday before the year's over. His manager is pushing it for their sakes. Nothing wrong with asking for more.

Canelo should blow out Trout and then make a public call for Floyd. If he can claim a belt and remain undefeated, Floyd will jump at the chance to make another mega fight which could surpass DLH/Mayweather.

What will make that even more possible is uncle Bob is nowhere near the vicinity to prevent that from happening. And that's even better.

Exactly. Stating facts is not "defending Floyd" or **** riding him. It's just how he operates. He doesn't sign guarantees and you will not bully him in the negotiation process.

Like 50 said, his biggest pet peeve is fighters making money off his name. In his mind, you should be grateful for whatever he offers you. There is no negotiating.

Canelo should have just stayed quiet and requested this new date without taking it to the media and issuing a Top Rank style ultimatum.
