it's like nas vs jay-z ,jay-z can write a song about how much money he has or how many cars but if nas makes a similar song then he's critized basically nas like floyd is held to a higher standard.

Too simplistic way of seeing it and i dont think you are simple. If Floyd fought regularly people wouldnt expect him to burn the candle at both ends, like fighting Sergio at 160, and then Ward, and then Wlad.

If you fight regularly you only need to fight the Sergio at 160 as a proper challenge for legacy, rather than pad out your career with the Guerreros. At 36 years of age, the time for padding out your CV is gone and you need to be thinking legacy fights. If Guerrero isnt the best opponent you ever fought, you might like to pick another opponent as Floyd will be seen as trying to make money and pad out his career.
While your in the sport and able to, you might as well challenge yourself. But having said that Floyd isnt that great, that a guerrero wouldnt be able to challenge him.

the ultimate reason why floyd gets ****ted on is because he does'nt take fights that people want to see at a time..he avoids the biggest challenges out there..thats real talk..

the big mouth , the doucebag persona are just minor reasons why people hate on him on these boards..

Mayweather is the overwelming favorite again and these critics are merely asking for once it would be nice to see Mayweather step up to a challenge where he is not the favorite. History has produced many champions that have repeatedly defied the odds and will again. What is wrong with expecting this of a fighter that is a star now?
There are plenty of challenges out there that are worthy of a p4p fighter, in my opinion quite a few boxing fans are tired of waiting for it.
Who could Mayweather fight where he wouldn't be the favourite? Outside of somebody way out of his weight class, or any weight class he's fought in.

Every hater of another fighter says the same as you about any fighter you can name including Manny , they dont fight the best fights possible , they ducking who they think is worthy . they hate on all out of the ring antics , hate on how much they make , hate on everything , maybe you cant see it because your a hater and so bias , apply your Floyd standards to Manny , but you will need to pull your head out of your ass to do that , right now you cant see ****t !

Bottom line , losers hate winners , and the losers outnumber the winners .

not every hater is the same ..im just keeping it real here ..how many times has there been a fighter that people really viewed as a biggest threat for floyd that he did'nt fight at that time ?...too many , yes many .. and his reason for not taking those fights were usually pathetic that only a hardcore nuthugger or a total dingbat would buy...

dont blame people with brains flowmoes...

stop lying if floyd was more active he would still be getting critcized because when it comes to mayweather everyone has a differnt oppinion if he doesn't fight who you want him to fight he will get critcized even if he is active if he fights who you want him to fight and wins that person some how all of a sudden becomes an overrated bum.has floyd always been this in active?no so stop acting like this hate and hippocracy just started after the hatton fight

they've been named plenty of times and this has been done to death .. everyone obviosuly was asking for the margarito fight given thats one of the biggest criticsm people have on him , not fighting margarito .. even he admitted he ducked margo in one of his interview (look it up ) indirectly...retiring when his weightclass was hot then returning when they elimated eachother?..sh111ttt...you ever wonder why his biggest win to date is diego corrales?

Here's a newsflash, Mayweather had the highest media profile of any fighter in the sport, he is almost universally regarded as P4P No.1 (even if Ward is gaining ground), and is a guy who deliberately adopts an obnoxious public persona.

Not everyone is going to like him.

A lot of people wouldn't like him even if he wasn't playing the Money Mayweather role.

This isn't weird, this is normal. This is part of sports discussion everywhere. The biggest stars get the most attention, and get the most criticism as well. The more gushing the praise they get the more stringent their criticism tends to be too.

The endless moaning about this fact is one of the really weak elements of this forum. Fanboys getting emotional over their hero not being universally loved. Well they're in for a tough time of it because it's not going to change anytime soon, no matter how many 'Why don't people love Floyd like I do' threads they start.
This is BS. You're trying to rationalize being a b*tch. You don't have to hate somebody that you don't love. As a fan, you can root against somebody without hating on them. The TS isn't pointing out people who don't love Mayweather, he's pointng people who hate on Mayweather. Haters are miserable people who run around taking their anger at the world out on other people. Figures like Mayweather are perfect targets for those kind. Haters aren't real fans because they always have an agenda regardless of the circumstances. Smell the **** that you're shoveling son.
