I defended Canelo. When this news first came out, I thought the issue was that he didn't want the Trout fight on a Floyd undercard unless he could be given an immediate fight with Floyd after.

That makes sense to me. Fight Trout and headline your own PPV so you can get more money.

But demanding a guarantee and threatening not to fight Trout (or any other top 10 guy for that matter) is a straight up ***** move. And I'm not surprised at the posters that are defending this nonsense.

All this. I agree also. I can understand Canelo not wanting to add to Floyd's PPV numbers. It makes sense, he has a big following, but this is a straight up duck move.

canelo demanding a floyd fight is fine with me. he's no longer an undercard fighter so if floyd wants him in his card he should agree for a september fight. canelo will not benefit fighting as undercard at this point. he no longer needs the exposure imo as he's already past that. he will not get a share of the ppv profits in a floyd ppv. he can have his own ppv and even if it only sells 300,000 he would still earn more than being an undercard to floyd.

not fighting trout though without a floyd guarantee is a big biatch move.
