Hardly a "flavor of the week." Plenty of more sensible NSBers have been behind Matty since a long while ago...I hopped on the bandwagon a bit later after the Ajose fight (which made me a fan of both guys, really). It's just that he got another opportunity to prove himself against a top fighter and did so in, what's the HBO cliche..."emphatic fashion?" Yeah, that phrase might actually be accurate in this situation.

Lastly, it isn't a "hype train," its a "anyone other than Mayweather train." Floyd's haters will anoint anyone with a pulse.
But I am sticking to “hype train” GGG and Bute were never made to be the next Floyd destroyed but everyday after a fight of theres these guys were considered to be the greatest.
Even Matinez who I like, but after his Chavez win people were actually claiming he would beat or give prime James Toney a lot of trouble along with any other middleweight in the history of the sport, Thats hype haha

Trout is much better than anybody that Matthysse has been in the ring with. I don't even agree that Canelo looked like sht. Sure it wasn't a flawless performance, but I was impressed with his power, timing, and defense. Obviously he needs to work on his conditioning and punch output though. I just haven't seen any justification for all of this Matthysse hype. He has no shot to beat Mayweather at this point, it would be boxing lesson. Canelo would get a lesson too, but at least he has the size and strength to maybe negate Mayweather's skill advantage.

Can we agree on this much, Alvarez and Matthysse have unusual power?
Matthysse would hurt Guerrero imo. Michael Katsidis hurt Guerrero, so did Floyd.
I don't like the idea of Matthysse moving up either.
Which brawler are you going to put him in with, Maidana?
Based on what? The Canelo fight should be next.
