It's unfortunate that I didn't get the FOTY that I wanted, but LP's suspect punch resistance during the beginning of fights definitely led to his unraveling. Matthysse's power is nothing to play with.

There was nothing Peterson could do in this fight.

Fighting inside is suicidal and he's not a good enough boxer to keep the fight on the outside. This was an easy fight to pick, IMO. I don't know why so many people thought Peterson had a chance in this one.

That was my gut feeling too: easy fight to pick. Lamont doesn't have the power to deter a KO artist like Matthysse. Lucas maybe my new favourite fighter.
