It's not just the fact that he called a japanese Chino, it's the fact that he said "he couldn't see" because of the slanted eyes. Now that's racist.

It's not a fact. That's what some people have extrapolated Rigo's remarks to mean. Quite frankly, I wasn't sure what the hell he meant, but it's just as likely he meant Nishioka was old. Someone even said Guillermo was referring to the swelling over Nishioka's eyes.

In Latino countries, at least in the Caribbean, all Asians are referred to as "Chinos." It's a cultural thing, nothing racist about it. I don't blame the uninitiated for being offended by it, but there's no offense meant.

I just don't get why fighters need to be racist or make jokes that may be interpret as racist. I get it, there's nothing wrong with a lil trash talk but some fighters love to bring up their opponents race and such. Just let your fist do all the talking.
