No but if it was an even round in terms of punches exchanged and judges are looking to swing a round either way the boxer forcing the pressure fighter to exchange in the middle of the ring at his pace or the pressure fighter forcing the boxer against the ropes could force the judges interpretation of things.
Whats is YOUR interpretation of Ring Generalship?

pace of the fight
I can see how people say whoever contols the pace of the fight BUT what about high volume pressure fighters? For instance guys like Paul Williams and Antonio Margarito would throw well over 100 punches every round but could easily lose a decision to a pot shotter. IMO if a guy is getting off over 100 punches (¬ hitting air) that could be considered controling the pace, thats why the rules of judging are so outdated...Comment

Even round = 10-10No but if it was an even round in terms of punches exchanged and judges are looking to swing a round either way the boxer forcing the pressure fighter to exchange in the middle of the ring at his pace or the pressure fighter forcing the boxer against the ropes could force the judges interpretation of things.
There should be no "looking to give rounds". If you cant decide who to give the round to the moment the bell rings, it should be 10-10.Comment

the problem with ring generalship is that when you have certain fighter like mayweather, marquez or hopkins is that they don't always do what people assume they are going to do they are all looked at as boxers who want and need space but in certain cases they may not plan on doing that so a judge can have them losing rounds because they are not creating enough space but who is to say that they wanted that spaceI can see how people say whoever contols the pace of the fight BUT what about high volume pressure fighters? Yea cuz you judge rounds on who landed the best and most effective punchesthe problem with ring generalship is that when you have certain fighter like mayweather, marquez or hopkins is that they don't always do what people assume they are going to do they are all looked at as boxers who want and need space but in certain cases they may not plan on doing that so a judge can have them losing rounds because they are not creating enough space but who is to say that they wanted that spaceComment

Ring generalship is dictating the pace of the fight. Making your opponent fight your fight.
If your a boxer fighting a brawler, ring generalship is sticking him, moving out of the way of his punches and making him look silly.
If its a brawler fighting a boxer, its making him uncomfortable, cutting off the ring, cornering him and forcing him into a fight he doesn't want to be in.Comment

A judge should almost never score a round even~ there is enough to pick from that a judge should be able to make the call.
If you score a ton of rounds even you aren't a judge~Comment
