Agreed. Canelo's style is just what the doctor ordered for Floyd. Trout on the other hand, is made to beat Floyd.

I hope Trout beats Canelo, and Trout vs. Mayweather goes down.

Of course I can dream. Floyd would duck Trout like there was no tomorrow.

The constant layoffs are a big reason I don't like Mayweather. Besides not being able to see an ATG fighter as much as I would like, it has a direct effect on every fighter that might potentially fight him one day. That's what infuriates me the most, is the fights we don't see because those guys have no idea when Mayweather will fight next.

He plays boxing like a business and with the amount of money he makes in one fight, he doesn't need to put his body through 2-3 poundings per year.

As a fan of him and the sport of course I would like for him to be more active but it is what it is.

One of the best of this generation, maybe even the best. But he never used his skills to his full potential when he had his "retirement" because he didn't want to face the best opposition. To him if he loses his 0 he feels he's done. And it's kind of true, because there's so many people who buy his PPVs just to see him lose. So if he loses once, than his PPV numbers will go down consistently afterwards. He'll be known as one of the best of his generation, but never one of the best of all time.

Floyds the total opposite of what we respect of the olden day fighters, with regular fighting, and lots of it, so Floyd isnt great IMO and i dont hold him in high regard.

its shameful to waste your prime like floyd has, but he was jailed so you can't really do nothing bout that instance

Thats how cowards do. The fight as less as they can so the tough opposition fights each other. Then when the smoke clears and the true badasses of the sport get old and past prime they come out and fight the name...not the Man. Then the go back into hiding... retirement or jail or just a long lay off...until some other easy fight comes along.

WHen srl was off we got to watch hagler, hearns and other great fighters and there was space for new talent to emerge. when floyd took off manny was able to grow into a legit ppv star and other younger stars got more face time. same thing happened when ali and tyson went to jail.

the only people who complain are fringe manny fans and posters looking to criticize floyd for anything.
