I'm surprised Floyd is even still fighting. Enjoy him while you can. And as long as the young guys don't follow the lead I really don't care.

if he fought in the 80s those would be the fights that'll make him a star win or lose idiots.

If Pacquiao or someone else fought once a year everyone would lower them on their p4p and say stuff. I don't know why mayweather gets special treatment

Many see this as a ducking tool to let the stiff competition fight it out, kinda like Leonard was stated to have ducked Pryor. And Mayweather was stated to duck Undefeated Cotto and rising Margarito.

Do you think that boxers have the right to take long terms off the sport? Or do you think it has a agenda behind it?
boxing always needs the vacum created when the top dog goes away because it opens up resources and space for new talent to emerge so vacations/time off doesn't matter to me one bit.

WHen srl was off we got to watch hagler, hearns and other great fighters and there was space for new talent to emerge. when floyd took off manny was able to grow into a legit ppv star and other younger stars got more face time. same thing happened when ali and tyson went to jail.

the only people who complain are fringe manny fans and posters looking to criticize floyd for anything.

i dont think much of it to be honest. its up to him when he wants to fight. only issue i have with him is he doesnt fight the best anymore. he is only fighting for the money.

it's bad for boxing. it forces boxing organizations to split up and condone this interim champion bullshIt. the way I see it, there should only be one champion per weight division. missing the good ol' days

Floyd has wasted his prime by fighting so little. He is about to be 36 and his prime is over although he is still very good. Two or three fights a year is a good way for a fighter at his level to go. He still gets older and slower and weaker as time goes by and not fighting does not change that. Any fighter has the right to fight as few fights as he wants to or take a year or two off if he feels like it. What a fighter should not have the right to do is hold on to tittles that they are not defending. It looks like he will be fighting twice a year with the Showtime deal for the next 2 or 3 years but who knows?Fighting more often helps a fighter stay sharp.

Specifically because of that I believe the Ghost will surprise the world & look very good. Some may even believe he should get the decision Floyd will receive.
