I think it was matter of injuries and lack of fights that really hindered him from fightnig more fighters, but hey he did unify the belts. His only two loses came from fatigue. Skill wise, he is one of the greatest.
zoo cleaned out the division, unified the titles and ducked nobody.... and he did it in one of the deepest divisions in boxing... solid resume: zab, mitchell, urkal, ruelas, MAG, hurtado, leija, rodriguez, lopez...
Nah,Tszyu isn't overrated. He was the dominant 140 pounder over a 10 year stretch in a good division. He beat a still good Hector Lopez after about 10 fights.Actually he needed to lose before we saw the best of him. He came back better and beat Hurtado, Gonzalez, an old Chavez,Mitchell, Judah, a dangerous Tackie and Mitchell again. At 35, fighting in Hatton's hometown and being at the top so long,I can see how he lost that one.
I really think that Tszyu fought Judah in his prime. Don't you remember how well Judah was doing in that first round, really pursuing Tszyu, unlike his fight with Cory Spinks where he seemed uninterested. He tried to get the fire back in his Mayweather fight, but was unsuccesful. Otherwise I'd say the Judah victory for Tszyu was underrated.
Otherwise I know why some people might say he was underrated, because he just didn't have enough memorable fights. Remember he also had a 2.5 year layoff, but came back looking good destroying Mitchell even greater and quicker than Mayweather was recently able to do. Then his age caught up to him in the Hatton fight + Hatton was succesfully able to figure out the counteroffensive to subdue Tszyu's offense, even thought it was very frusturating to watch the fight, he did what he had to.
people will give tyzsu no credit for cleaning out a divison and actually collecting the titles and owning ****
yet worship that division jumping terd mayweather....rj did the same thing go to a division fight all the fights you know you can take move up to the next repete process mean awhile a whole slew of competition gets left behind which will come back to haunt him espessially since hes done it in 3or 4 divisions ...you figure at least 3 ducked fighters per thats 12 fighters hes prolly ducked at one time or another
Sorry Tszyu ball-huggers. I agree he's not overrated, no one actually knows who the **** Tszyu is, I like when Larry Merchant said, WHO IS TSZYU? Tszyu is only overrted by his ball-hugger fans.

who the **** cares, this ain't a popularity contest...
Being champion for 11 years and having top competition since your 11th professional fight is not overrated...
He's not like Julio Cesar Chavez who would fight 40 odd bums before he faces someone with a pulse....Kostya was great
Have you seen Tyszu fight?
he was a very intelliegent fighter aswell as powerful, he would of gave PBF a hell of a fight....
I don't know what you got against him, but you are definetly in the minority
