As bad as it sounds, I think any fighter who discusses health first and risks second should not be in any ATG talk, lol. ATG are ATG because they took risks, put their health on the line against murderous punchers/dangerous fighters and created legends because of that.
When Fraud Jr. talks about how he wants to leave the sport without any problems and goes on to talk about "other" fighters who get out of the sport and have no future ahead of them, that right there throws up the low risks, high reward mentality which I cannot associate with ATGs...

why would you evaluate a whole career based on something said near the end of that career in the context of fighting an opponent that very likley may be using PED's? So you rate a fighter based on whether they are concerned about the long term health risks of boxing?

          Yet you don't box. Hmmmmm

Whoever said anything about fighting an opponent that may be on PEDs? I'm just discussing the original topic w/o bringing any particular opponent into the convo.

thats when floyd made the comments you referenced in your post. SO I asked how those comments, made about a particular opponent, can be used to judge floyd's whole career and ATG status.

On this forum there seems to be a lot of idiots that think Floyds career started at 147.

Dude has been boxing for 17 years.

Yeah. Duran ranks higher but that just seemed like a weird way to evaluate someone's career or ATG status.

But it has been... I think in the past 5 years, Cotto was MAYBE Fraud Jr.'s most credible opponent that gave him a decent challenge. Every other fight was to make Fraud look good or easy $$$. He knows this and that's why he takes these type fights. Easy $$$, look good. It's his mentality and with that, I expect all business decisions to be about what makes $en$e.

Floyd beating people easily, fighters that other future HOF'ers didn't fare as well against, should be a measure of floyd's greatness.

If floyd is beating a string of 4-1 underdogs, well every fighter that beat a string of 4-1 underdogs should be evaluated similarly right?

Every fighter takes fights that make money-its pro boxing. Money is always a factor for EVERY fighter. SO again, i'm still trying to figure out how what is said in 2010 can be retroactively applied to previous fights.
