Guererro and Alexander are similar level fighters but that doesn't matter.

Guererro is one a good run and deserves it.

Alexander hasn't been spectacular at all despite having a decent WW run.

Plus, the fight will be very dull.

They might be on the same level but as check hook pointed out, Guerrero has more dimensions to his game and will make Floyd work/think. He will also give the fans their money's worth.

You can't tell me Trout wouldn't have taken the same terms Alexander took at 154. There were other better options out there that were doable and since it appears he's too concerned on his opponents name recognition, Trout would have been better. Why Floyd, why? It's like he's content to sell less and look less impressive.

Here's my take on this. Since Alvarez wants to fight on the card only if he fights mayweather next. Money took a money fight on the back of Alvarez followers. Mayweather will get his 25 million on a fight that worth 3 miilion at the expense of Alvarez. Alvarez will now have to fight Trout to make this PPV sell the numbers it needs to pay Mayweather and to get his wish for september. I'm a Mayweather fan. I dislike this choice of opponent for Mayweather.

I think he may have just thrown Devon's name out there to see what the reaction would be. He just said he was the front runner, nothing else. I think Floyd is having a hard time finding an opponent. He knows people don't wanna see Guerrero. Now he knows we don't want to see Alexander.

front runner, meaning there are other names in place...Alexander could be the front runner only because he is willing to accept what ever crap deal Mayweather throws his way. I think Guerrero is holding out his end because he knows how much this fight is worth, and is trying to be fairly compensated. I don't see Floyd paying the extra 2-3% to the IBF for their belt.

Furthermore, what fight can realistically be made for May 4 for a 147 lb fight?

Don't most guys have a fight?
