Marquez is a smart man... in fact this makes him one of the smartest fighters in the sport. He beat pac 3 times already (according to me) nothing else needs to be proven. Pacquiao got paid handsomely for his efforts.

Marquez can retire already as one of the greatest fighters of all time and so can pacquiao. But if he doesn't he could easily make as much as a 6th fight would have gotten him with a rematch (and a whooping) with much bigger, cheating, floyd.

Also to anyone that thinks a sixth fight would go like 4th without a KO.... the only reason Pac was getting caught with the bombs was because he was pressing the action so hard leaving himself open. When he doesn't it turns into 3rd fight with Marquez totally outclassing Pac.

Pac should fight Brandon Rios if he doesn't retire.

The perks of finally winning one match...and the agony of decision making as to who Marquez' next opponent should be. Money > Pride.

      Good luck with that, champ

Manny cant beat JMM period. A 5th fight is pointless after getting put to sleep the way he did. Lets face it, Manny A. cant outbox JMM for 12 rounds and B. he cant KO him within 12 rounds. They have fought 4 times and manny has failed to do either. Can we honestly say if Manny wins a 5th fight that he is the better of the two? I cant because i have it 4-1 in favor of JMM. 5th fight: pointless

          I agree.

But he'll take the rematch for the money.

If Marquez doesn't fight Pacquiao, who is he going to fight? He did go through all of those troubles with his family just for the chance to fight again.

I can see one of four scenarios happening:

-Marquez fights somebody, wins, and doesn't fight Pacquiao; retiring with an untarnished legacy.

-Marquez fights somebody, loses, and Pacquiao acts as a cleanup crew to salvage his own legacy.

            -Marquez fights Pacquiao.

-Maquez realizes he has nothing left to prove and retires while he's on top.

Pac was willing enough to give JMM countless chances to convince the judges he could beat Pac. So Pac could have fought JMM another 5 times until JMM got a win over Pac. So why cant JMM give Pac a rematch?

If Pac was aware if he lost to JMM, JMM wouldnt give a rematch, i doubt Pac would be so willing to have rematch JMM so many times. Im sure if Floyd gave that many chances to JMM to beat Floyd, Floyd might have lost a few times as well.

If i fought Pac 50 times, i may even have beat pac once. So just give the rematch and stop moaning you dont have to.

                    Sounds Marquez is ducking!!!
Who can blame JMM? He got beat and was on the verge of being knockout before he landed the punch of his life...

                    But then again Money Talks...

I don't think there are other fighters out there that's fans get excited to see Marquez fight aside from Pac or Mayweather~~~

He was totally dominated by Floyd and he was slow against Pac...
Fans don't give Marquez a chance against Mayweather...

Besides Mayweather vs Marquez is boring as evident on their first fight!

Let's pretend that Floyd was Foreman, Marquez was Frazier, and Ali was Pacquiao.

You're essentially saying that since Foreman annihilated Frazier, and Frazier defeated Ali, that Ali would have no chance against Foreman.

Give that a little food for thought.
