Juan Manuel Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) is holding the high hand. The four division world champion doesn't see a reason for a fifth fight with Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs). Since 2004, Marquez has been chasing fights with Pacquiao. He practically begged and used every tactic possible to secure a third match in 2011. After knocking Pacquiao out in the sixth round of last December's fourth showdown, Marquez almost retired but made a decision to continue fighting.

I honestly agree with JMM and his reasoning. If Manny KO'd Marquez there wouldn't be any talking for a 5th fight and as chisled as Marquez looked coming into the fight, he didn't box Manny the way he used to. He's nearly 40 years old and realized that if I can't really box at this pace anymore, Im going to look for 1 punch and he got it. He also got beaten worse in those 6 rounds than he did against Floyd. Marquez is old now and should go out in the sunlight and Pac should still fight on cuz the man is a champion and he can't go out like that. Marquez has every right to duck Manny because if it were the other way around, there is no way in hell Manny would have granted JMM a rematch so why should he do any differently.

You know all that about Manny but don't know that Floyd picked up Marquez to fight ..... who was just 2 fights from his 130lb days. Floyd even cheated and came in over the agreed CW of 144lbs. Last time someone notable did that was Broner and he was crucified on these boards for doing that .... but for Floyd fans, that was OK since his name was Floyd, right? lol!

All I know is that pacquiao got murdered by JMM..and that floyd toyed with JMM..it was a big mismatch,blame it on weight or whatever makes you sleep at night.Floyd is numero uno those two are amateurs compared to money may.

As much as I dont like Marquez at all, I respect the fact the him and his team are smarter then Pac and his team. Marquez got the win he always wanted and in a brutal (Juiced Up) fashion... Walk away Marquez with the tainted W while you can..

Pacman should of never took that fight but Pac just isnt the sharpest tool in the shed...

Not so sure. Manny was doing really well with the angular movement. The problem is that when Marquez floored Manny he reverted to his typical in and out style which Marquez had down. On one hand I believe manny could have won that fight, on the other I dont believe Manny has the ring IQ to figure this out. Hes not really adaptable.

Floyd size did have a lot to do with it. If you have two great counter punchers obviously the guy with the size advantage will most likely win. In the floyd fight Marquez was forced to attack because of the size difference and that's not Marquez style. Kinda like if Mike Tyson was a counter puncher with his short size he probably wouldn't of been able to beat all those guys.
