when he does that chewing gum with his mouth open while talking some dumb **** (amongst a few other things), I shake my head. Otherwise, he's an alright guy. thought it was funny as **** when he got up yelling, "aghh" and then "turn it off." When he tries too hard, it never works, but when it's natural, he's a lot more likable.Comment

All the broner fanboys rushing in to defend their hero. He's showing off for the camera acting like a jackasss and couldnt even complete the rep and he lied about how much weight it is.Last edited by Southpawology; 01-31-2013, 02:27 PM.Comment

Those are 4 25lbs and 2 45lbs weights and a standard bar is 45lbs. Go to a gym bro.
Anytime you can do more than your body weight, props to you.Comment

you don't even know what 235 looks like - how would you know what 275 looks like?Comment

I doubt Broner puts as much into weight lifting as your friend in school. You don't have to be extremely strong to be a good fighter and Broner is proof of that. I'd like to see any of the other 135 or 140 pound fighters post a video of them maxing out. Gotta give Broner props for that.Comment

First...it's about 230lbs. Broner needs to redo their math lol.
2 45lb plates = 90lbs
4 25lb plates = 100lbs
1 Olympic Bar = 35 to 45lbs
Second...if you can bench 1.5x your body weight, you are VERY strong. This is right at 1.5x Broner's weight, considerably more factoring his fighting weight. He looks like he could lift something CLOSE to this 230lbs so I would say Broner is pretty damn strong for his weight.
Third...he's a boxer, not a bodybuilder. This debate is kind of silly. Broner is built like a prototypical fighter. Broad shoulders. Strong core. Ripped physique but not bulky. Criticizing his strength based on this video is both reaching and hating at its finest.Last edited by mconstantine; 01-31-2013, 03:36 PM.Comment
