What I am wondering is if Golden Boy was actually serious about the contract or not. Were they serious? Well sending out a proposed contract and then leaking it to the press a few days later can be looked upon as simply looking for press or using the press as a pawn while having their own agenda.
This is all starting to strike me as a big pile of dog poo. If both sides cannot come to an agreement, then state so. But to me it was obvious that Donaire's Camp and Rigondeaux seemed to already be in negotiations. So all we have is a bunch of typed words that mean nothing, with GBP and Top Rank playing the press.

Rigo, stylistically, is a harder fight and actually Mares style plays right into what Donaire likes to do best which is counter punch.
Donaire took the harder fight....period.
FWIW, there is no way in hell Arum would ever let a company promote, and own the rights to one of his fighter's bouts. That makes no sense what so ever from a business stand point and with the GBP robberies, that offer sure sounds like a DLH vs Sturm/Casamayor vs Santa Cruz/ _____ one of the dozen of GBP robberies you can think of.

Arum already had the wheels in motion for Rigo by the looks of things and Schaffer isnt dumb, he knew Arum would do an in-house, but he doesnt want to lose Mares either.

I don't understand why Arum does not want this fight for Donaire??I get it,it's risky..But Donaire is more then capable of winning this fight imo..I would actually pick him to win it...Come on Arum, enough is enough with this guy..
