I think we the the fans should unite and get legal advice against TR and gbp for lose of entertainment that's us as paying customers deserve. Wasted time in our lives from reading the back and forth bickering that's just doesn't seem to end. I'm not blaming one or the other theyre both to blame. But they must see that they are destroying a sport that they claim they love. I'm sick to death of it. We should boycott all future TR and gbp events to make them realize without us there is no 3 mill or any money on offer if there is no fans. We hold the power over this if we all pull the same way. All over the world race nationality male female. Let's start an online movement so these so called promoters stop ignoring the reason they have they're cushy lifestyle. It because us fans that save up to see live or on ppv the sport we love the most and because we pay we should get the fights we want. Who's with me??????

I've seen a lot of people state that Donaire is the bigger star or A-side to the fight against Mares. Where is the proof that Donaire is the bigger named fighter? IMO they are on the same level. Since everyone swears up and down Mexicans bring the money wouldn't it be safe to say that more Mexicans will buy the tickets to the fight and have more ppv buys if the fight was on ppv? So how is Donaire the bigger fighter?

Then what do you have to say about Arum's offer which was supposedly far less than $3 million?

Acknowledge the fact that GBP made a better offer than Top Rank. They deserve credit for at least trying to negotiate a fair deal for both sides.

Donaire is worth far more than 3 million specially if GBP wants to promote it themselves. You can give that to Mares sorry no deal.

How so? Donaire biggest purse was his last fight against Arce for 1 million. Donaire would probably get close to 2 million for the fight with Mares making less. So that claim is weak. If he is worth more he would be getting at least 1 million a fight from Top Rank. And don't get it twisted the only reason he got 1 million for the Arce fight is because Arce brought a lot to the table in terms of fans. I just think Top Rank see's it as to high risk and to low reward. Which is fine, but don't say Donaire is worth. You don't see him selling out even small venue's.

You'd think that if they'd read through the contract (likely most of them can't read that well and understand nothing of what they CAN read) they would see the hundreds of details all in favour of Golden Balls, and leaving Top Rank in a dangerous spot. Just imagine them wanting Top Rank to sign away all future rights for ever for future media inventions not yet thought of..... That's pure crap. And if Donaire wears a logo without their written permission, the bout is cancelled without notice.

There are a few silly geezers (actually all limited mentality bigots) including a couple who are old enough to know better, (if what they say about themselves are true) who are so certain that Arum offered $1mill for Mares, even though they've never announced any proven figure. Just think if it were true, and Mares and Schaefer split it, $500,000 apiece, By the time all their own expenses (assuming it would be a similar contract) were paid, they'd be out of pocket by even more than that.

This fight is a $20-25 mill fight and Schaefer knows it well and Arum knows Schaefer better.

It looks from the "slave" contract, (David Haye's main contribution to boxing) and everything else, that it was never meant to be a REAL contract, just another round in the juvenile PR crap that Golden Balls finds so attractive. And for most BoxingScene posters, it seems to work. For every logical levelheaded poster, there are 10 repressed crazies who can find catharsis on this site by cursing Arum and everyone who doesn't agree with them.

Since the contract is with Arum, and concocted by Schaefer, he has every right to be very wary. .. A strange thing in this Arum hate-fest, those same guys would mostly prefer to see Donaire fight Rigondeaux anyway, as it would be a bigger test for Donaire than Mares. So they know their boxing.
