Byrd's last amateur fight before turning pro was getting stopped by Joe Calzaghe in the last few seconds of their fight at a dual meet in Italy (Calzaghe was representing Italy). Apparently after the fight Calzaghe said "You can run, but you can't hide", there is footage of this fight and I want to see it!
Chris Byrd vs Joe Calzaghe, any footage?

Also ask him who he lost to in the 1988 Olympic Trials quarter-finals and 1990 Goodwill Games quarter-finals, and ask him what his connection was with Nigel Benn please (did he fight Benn as an amateur, spar with Benn, or challenge Benn as a pro? because there was definately some sort of connection there but I can't remember what it was).Comment
