That's what I'm thinking. What's more likely over the past few months, Jr. working in the gym or Jr. sitting on his ass and going to nightclubs?

Also, it frustrates me to see the Martinez management falling for the 12th round excuse. It discredits the previous 11 rounds where Martinez school Chavez, but its also a very weak hype for a rematch. There are no other grounds for a rematch other then the 12th round knockdown which would be big news if Martinez had never been down in his career. As it is, in his last 7 fights Martinez has been knocked down in 4 of those fights.

It's silly to ask for a rematch based on the fight going the distance and Martinez getting knocked down. You can't even say Martinez was hurt because Sergio didn't turtle up, he fought and disrupted Chavez's attack. If your criteria for a rematch is based on the fight going the distance and Martinez being knocked down, then Kelly Pavlik also has a case for a rematch.

I think this fight will be more competitive because Chavez will be more aggressive due to his confidence building 12th round. However, Jr's aggression will bring out the best in Martinez like always. Chavez will be more open and Martinez will likely get the KO!

They need to get the hell up out of there before the New Gen comes

          Golovkin and Dirrell

          I really like those two.

Chavez very well could win this fight, but he'd have to do something he's never done IMO "have a great training camp" no distractions ie.. DUI, blowing off training, cheifing. If he trains hard and does what Robert Garcia and his dad tell him this could be a great fight. Then again too many "ifs"

I don't believe Martinez can knockout jr. has a hell of a confidence builder Martinez gave his best performance injuries or not jr. took martinez's best shots and weren't fazed in the think it'll be a different fight this time jr. won't be as hesitant to throw cause he knows he can take martinez's best shots.

IMHO, Martinez put on a career-defining performance against Chavez Jr. while being injured. Imagine what he'll do to Chavez without any injuries. Chavez should just move up to 168 and fight Pavlik.

He did indeed I like Martinez he is the superior boxer but let's keep it real Chavez was never hurt got a chin like a piece of iron just don't think Martinez can hurt the guy on the other hand jr. did in fact hurt Martinez.

Yeah, he got to him alright......in the LAST round. Not in round 1, but in round 12, after Sergio had out-worked and out-hustled him throughout the entire fight. Maybe Chavez was never drastically hurt, but it wasn't only Sergio's movement that was discouraging Jr. from letting his offense go. Sergio does have respectable power, and it doesn't seem like Chavez was liking those body shots either. Chavez's weight-draining issue is also being minimized. Chavez might weigh more, but it comes at a price. His punch resistance/endurance/stamina/speed/agility all take a hit, which makes him an easier opponent to beat.

If Sergio doesn't physically break down, then he'll win another dominant decision. If Chavez opens up, he'll make Sergio's night much simpler.
