He'll dish out the money if he truly feels Gamboa can win this fight. A chance to showcase his fighter will be the best investment.

    Although it's a high risk.

50 seems VERY confident in Gamboa's abilities, much more confident than I am in Yuri's chances. I think he'll take the risk.

This isn't going to happen. Uchiyama won't leave Japan and Gamboa has a bigger fight up at 135 he's chasing, Broner.

I have yet to see an article or interview with Uchiyama saying he's looking to fight in the US, but I could be wrong.

Still, this isn't happening anytime soon.

That said, I don't see this fight materialising. Uchiyama is a real danger for Gamboa who was taken to deep water by Farinas.
so losing 11 out of 12 rounds and the one he won was because he land a haymaker that Gamboa never saw coming (ala Marquez-Pacquio)and was on the verge of getting KO and you think he was in deep waters? Boxing fans nowdays...

PS. For all that wants to know Gamboa had a busted gland in one of his leg, we call that "seca"...

So why did Gamboa not pursue such a fight, to what face Darleys Perez.

Imagine if he had won a belt that could provide options other than his current status he really has no one to blame but himself. and I like Gamboa
