Maybe he can fight Canelo first (possibly lose) on May 4 and then fight Bundrage and retire with a win and a title on hand. Or he could beat Bundrage first and then try to unify with Canelo to rehype the fight.

Cotto is by far my current favorite fighter..

but my boy needs to get in line and earn his spot to another title if he wants to continue..I think a Kirkland, Vanes, or K9 match is due..

Honestly..I hate that he's at 154lbs...I thought he was adapted to the size and weight..but seeing Trout tower over Cotto in size and height showed us all that he has no business fighting there...all the true 154lbers are going to give Cotto trouble from now on..Trout set the blueprint..

I wish we could see him at 147lbs again..and fight the Alexander's, Maidana's, Bradley's, etc. but I doubt he wants to go below 154lbs

          Since he is a coward.

He should rematch Mayorga or Yuri Foreman.

Lets be honest... Foreman got injured and was fighting with one leg.

Foreman vs. Quitto, someplace outside N.Y., so Foreman won't get robbed.

            This cannot happen.

Cotto roughly fights for around $3-10 million a fight and there is no way he's going to get that kind of money fighting on a Mayweather undercard, since Mayweather demands such an insanely high purse ($30+ million). There simply isn't enough money to go around to fund the fight.

He should move down to 147, if possible. If not, the Bundrage-Smith winner is logical. Kirkland seems like a good one too.

Honestly, I'd prefer that he just retire already. He'll keep fighting for the $$$ though.

Move back to welter & fight there he's a small 154 fighter. That or Angulo & Kirkland. Welter would be best IMO thou. Him & Ortiz would make a good fight.

Being frank as a fan,i don't think Cotto has allot left 2 fights top.And not in terms of being shot but in terms of keeping up to certain fighting styles. He's had real good runs @140,147 for those who have monitored him closely for more then a decade.

Angulo just simply doesn't live up to his name despite his layoff and pre hype.He was fooled when a more known puncher Cintron clearly outboxed his ears and a chinny Kirkland beating him in his own rough game.Bundrage isn't the most top quality pickings but he has a belt and Cotto coming off two losses wouldn't be as bad.Canelo i wouldn't mind, i mean if bullying Jr. welterweights, having a phony resume full of retired skeletons and being a paper champ while obviously ducking the whole junior middleweight division has ppl believing he's the real deal then what a shame for boxing in general. He's looked 'impressive' to say the least but how about against a real top jr mw? Eventually the weakest link i would say.

There's nobody outside of that radar that I can think of that brings attention and that Cotto can possibly beat.

Well, he just lost two in a row and he's titleless, I don't think he's expecting to make $3-10 mil in his next fight. As it is, I really doubt he made $3 mil against Trout.

If not Canelo, K9 makes the most sense.
