Winner of Bundrage-Smith in Puerto Rico. Any one of them would jump at the money and oppurtunity, even if they had to go on the road. Depending on how he looks, possibly retire as a five time champ or look for other oppurtunities afterwards.

I think he should call it quits. Leave now before it's too late. If he absolutely has to fight though, go out on win and fight Bundrage or Spinks (Someone who cannot hurt a fly when he punches) Then call it a day.

Him fighting against Canelo would still be a pretty big fight. Would be a war! Cotto does not belong at 154, dude is way too small at that weight and look kinda pudgy to me when hes fighting there. 147 was great for him but the weightcut must be too difficult for him I guess.

He can still beat most fighters at 147/154 but he needs to decide whether he wants to fight the best or be content with fighting mid-tier guys to get back to the top. I don't think he wants that nor does his family, I think he should just take the Canelo fight as one big pay day and then retire whether he wins or loses. If he loses either retire or take a easy fight in PR/New York for his fans as a goodbye really. I'm pretty sure he's made a lot of money, hopefully he invested well. I've been a huge Cotto fan for years but his style and the amount of wear and tear on someone with his fighting style isn't good. People with his style peak at 26-28 and then it's a quick downhill slope after that. I haven't seen the Cotto at his best after his fight vs Margarito 1 eventhough his second fight vs Margarito was a masterclass and his fight vs Mayweather was good but Floyd clearly won that, Cotto made him work for it but it was a 9-3 kinda fight if you count it as it should be counting by Boxing rules.

I think the Trout fight was to much of a bad matchup for Cotto do to hight and long reach advantage and he paid the price. Miguel still has alot left in him but he needs to fight guys that are closer to his size. I think he should fight at 147-150 tops.
