WBC interim-super lightweight champion Lucas Matthysse (32-2, 30KOs) is in full training for his upcoming defense against Hank Lundy (22-2-1, 11KOs) on January 26th. Showtime will televise the fight.

Matthysse is the mandatory challenger to WBC/WBA champion Danny Garcia. He earned his shot with a tenth round TKO of Ajose Olusegun. He has already asked Golden Boy Promotions to make the fight with Garcia. Golden Boy promotes both Matthysse and Garcia, who has a defense set against Zab Judah on February 9th in Brooklyn.
