Id like to remind you all that Garcia holds two belts at 140lbs, and the WBC have said multiple times they are going to strip him if he doesn't give up the WBA title (as the WBC no longer allows unified champions).

If the WBC actually seeks to force this mandatory, it's no sweat off Garcia's back to drop one of his two titles.

yeah, but i don't see it happening for a khan/garcia rematch. it's the wbc, they'll rather take the sanctioning fees than being an honest organization. matthysse def deserves a title shot, hopefully he gets it in 2013. he just needs to stay focus on the opponent in front of him. it'll happen in due time.

"Garcia is ducking Mathysse", is being thrown around on this site and gaining more steam with each day that passes.

Where did this come from ? Garcia was thrown in with Morales and was expected to lose, and was hand fed to Khan and he overcame the odds twice. He fought Morales again (rematch clause) and is now fighting the guy who beat Mathysse in Judah ( not concerned with your scorecards).

I can see why he might not be the most "liked" fighter because of the shiet his dad says/does and the fact that their are alot of butthurt Khan fans...

But saying he is ducking Mathysse is a little premature and unfair.
In my opinion.

I doubt Garcia will fight Matthyese after Judah due to the fact that Khan will probably offer Garcia upwards of a million dollars just to get a chance to get his titles back.. Matthyese will get his chance though, he deserves it.. I just don't see GBP offering Garcia more than he can make for a Khan rematch so when u weigh the 2 options its Khan: Medium-low risk, more money. or Matthyese: HIGH risk, less money.

Garcia is definitely ducking Matthysse, why else would he choose a rematch with the corpse of Morales and a past prime Judah. Lucas puts Garcia to sleep in under 6 rounds.

Why else? Money brother, Lucas doesn't bring the name recognition those two, these guys are fighters they aren't scared they are just maximizing profits.

I think Garcia will vacate instead of face mathyssee and keep the other belt and keep on getting easy fights with decent paydays but I actually think he has a shot with mathysse,he is pretty fast and has ok power,not great but ok,that ko of morales well I don't even look at morales as a real jr welter and he was done anyways,and against khan it was really the shots on the head/neck/temple that dropped him and will wobble a lot of fighters,none of the shots that landed on khans chin really did anything,thats why I say decent power,and because of those two things I think he does have a shot against mathyssee,i hope it does get made because it's a big fight and it's too bad if he vacates and goes on to fight another has been

Ok, we all know that Danny Garcia should fight Lucas Matthysse but lets keep it all the way 100. Marcos Maidana couldn't finish Erik Morales and he made a prime Victor Ortiz quit who is way stronger than Morales. Maidana is probably on the same level power wise with Matthysse? Would you say? Maidana also could not put Khan down but Garcia laid both of them dudes out. Danny Garcia has been more impressive to me then Lucas Matthysse. Mathysse let Judah and Alexander wins slip through his fingers and he had them guys down. Why should I believe Matthysse can do anything with Garcia then? I want to see this fight bad.
