There is no contradiction because I hoped for the Pac fight like the rest. The fact that you say he skipped out on Canelo let's me know that I'm at a dead end no matter what witcha homie.

What do you want to see if a fighter wins a fight? you want him to take the rest of his career off ducking legit threats and screwing other fighters with weight? If any fighter does that, he gets called on it.

Boxing fans are about the sport, not the protection of one fighter to cherrypick at will - that's a nuthugger.
You know like I know that when Floyd fights a guy coming off a win that rule never applies. I would like to see him fight Trout but definitely not in place of Canelo and not any more or less excited about him facing Trout instead of Guerrero. Trout has had the light on him 5minutes and Mayweather is already duckin him? I have never seen a fighter handled in this fashion by huge chunk of the boxing world. All of a sudden Trout's a beast. Yeah ***in right. I guess after Trout has come and gone 40yr old Mayweather will have plans to duck Thurman and the 2016 152lb Olympic gold medalist too. Its a cycle that applies to only one.

Not a Mayweather "Stan" at all, I just call things like I see it and I see a Canelo fan looking to try and match up Trout and Floyd so he won't have to fight both

I have posted on this forum many if times that I think Trout BEATS MAYWEATHER!

Boxing fans know who is the most legit opponent at this point - that is why they want him to face Trout.

Not the green unproven Canelo, not the blown-up LW Guerrero.

It applies to every fighter, you take on the best available or you face criticism.

If you don't see other fighters being criticised for not taking on the best and ducking opponents then I would suggest you take a look at non-Mayweather threads (e.g. Canelo, Vitali and Burns have faced criticism of late).

Why is it considered bad for Floyd, who is a 154 lb, undefeated champion, to take on another undefeated 154 lb black champion in his prime?
There are no chapters closed. Do you realize that there are actually new threads about Castillo 1? Or that he ducked Freitas, Casamyor and Tszyu? If you haven't seen that on the regular then you will soon I can promise you. The last black champion he took on was Mosley (who they said he'd never have the guts to fight). You know how that turned out. Verdict after fight: Shane's old

huh? it's clearly visible to anyone without an agenda that canelo is a much larger cash cow than guerrero is. so why is he fighting guerrero then? you just said yourself he needs to take the biggest money fights or you'll lose him as a fan

There are Ward threads about the Kessler fight, Froch threads about the Dirrell fight, RJJ threads about Collins, Benn etc. Controversial fights and controversy in general get talked about.

Again if you actually read non-Mayweather threads you'll see it applies to all fighters, not just your favourite.

Burns?Sure mfka. Please link me to that single post. I find myself defending Canelo too. As a boxing student I can see that his handlers have been right the whole time by allowing him to become a better boxer slowly but surely. As fan which is short for fanatic I wanted him thrown in the fire right away. Don't tell me about nuthuggin win you've had that same picture of Ricky up since forever. Lol.

You must be stuck on ****** if you think those comparisons are equal to the insane Mayweather threads. By the way buddy you can check my history. I chop it up about a hell of a lot more than FMJ. You're full of **** and running out of quality information. To top that off it seems like you are in any Mayweather thread I comment on for the last 3 ***in years. Ain't that odd.

Now all I see are a tirade of insults from someone who can't handle the truth.

Again, all fighters face criticism if they do not take on the best. The more a fighter avoids the best the more criticism they will face.

Mayweather is not an exception, stop pretending he is just because you can't handle your favourite fighter taking criticism.

If he gets more threads it's because he's more well known, simple as that.

Floyd vs Trout would be a nice fight, difficult for both men.

Even though Floyd is getting older, outboxing him is no easy task, and Trout's style would make for a very interesting chess game.

As for who fights who, I think most boxers/promoters choose their opponents carefully, especially top dogs.

                      Floyd is in good company.

Wlad fought Wach, who was nowhere near the top 5.

Ward was about to fight Pavlik, a previous MW champion unraked at SMW.

Sergio Martinez is fighting Murray, who is undefeated and in the top 10, but not the biggest draw.

Manny fought a 40 year old JMM rather than rematch a 28yo Bradley and get his belt back.

And so on with Canelo, Chavez Jr before facing Sergio etc.

I'm not criticizing anybody, simply stating that, unfortunately, boxing is a business, and nobody wants to risk future incomes. Floyd does what many others do.

Personally, my problem with Floyd is not who he fights, but how often. I think he should fight more often than once a year if he wants to be considered a "champion" (whatever it means in today's boxing) in a weight class, or p4p.
