Clottey = Underrated win for Pac

Clottey didnt try to win at any point. It was dangerous fight for pac but the Clottey performance made the idea of the fight less impressive

Clottey felt Pac's power and didn't want to fight. It was a good win for pac even though it was a one sided beat down. Now Clotttey picture is on a milk carton missing in action.

Look, I'm not saying that this is some sort of ATG or career defining victory for Pac, but people just tend to sweep this one under the rug as if Pac beat some sort of cab driver. Clottey was a huge welterweight (rehydrating to 170lbs I believe). He gave everybody problems in the division. He was on his way to beating Margarito before he broke his hand, beat Judah & Corrales, and lost a very debatable decision to Cotto that many felt he won (I personally thought Cotto won, but have no problem with people saying otherwise). Pac completely shut him out. It was a good, solid victory for him. Nothing special, but certainly not a joke of a victory that people make it out to be.

There isnt a genuine boxing fan in the world who genuinely dont think that was a great win for Pac. Pac did what no other WW ever did to Clottey so its a great win for Pac. Greater than all the WWs clottey ever fought.

Whether you think Clottey is great is another topic altogether though. And we know hes no slouch so doesnt need discussing.

Seriously though, I really don't know what to make of this fight still and Clottey has said some weird things regarding the fight. Perhaps it is just a language thing, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was more to it since this is still boxing after all.
