Arum is just bitter towards Cotto for leaving his stable and going on solo.

Let me throw that back at you....what has guerrero done?

Inb4 mayweather fights an inferior fighter in guerrero, then pushes hard as hell to get a fight with pacquiao. Mayweather isnt getting any younger, and canelo is only getting better.

Canelo and Martinez are two fights id like to see for mayweather before he retires. Sadly, ill feel extremely fortunate if just one of those fights happen. Robert guerrero....really?
      Seriously?

Guerrero is a very dangerous opponent. Floyd would treat Canelo like he did Hatton, Ortiz....Cotto was more competative than Canelo would be. Canelo is another ****er.... I doubt he can touch Floyd much less touch him up.

So what? was he outclassed? Did he get savegely beaten up? Did he age in the ring suddenly?

Whats so horrible about a great fighter losing a good hard fight to a guy with a style that is hard for that fighter to beat? Cotto knows his place in the boxing universe....he can't beat Mayweather and can pretty much fight anyone else in his weight class competatively....including a guy who beat the living crap out of him (Margarito). yeah he lost that fight also.....

Do you or anyone honestly think that Cotto is a gatekeeper now because of this fight? Judah...a real gatekeeper for years now, has lost lots of fights and still seems to get fights for the championship despite being outclassed by the likes of glass jaw Kahn. Cotto has never really been outclassed imo.

Arum is just bitter and ignorant of the notion...a notion often perpetuated by Dana White.... that a fighter is allowed to lose good if they fought well. Cotto has not taken the bait nor should he.

People- why do we forget that Bob Arum was trying to get Cotto to agree to fight PacMan at a catchweight again this December???? The only reason there was a 4th fight with Marquez is because Cotto refused to be at a disadvantage again. Even Arum called him out saying he was scared to take another beating from Pac. If Cotto had taken that fight, Pac would have beat him up again. And the Manny fans would still be running rampant

Cotto sees it as his profession and duty to seek out bigger challenges rather than bigger paydays. I am not a fan of his to be honest, but more fighters need to think like this. Especially Mayweather and Pacquiao.
Not to fast.... One of the main reasons Cotto chose Trout was because Trout looked AWFUL in his fight with Delvon Rodriguez. Cotto thought it was gonna be easy work. And a lot of people didnt even know who Trout was until he got this fight.

Even before the fight, Cotto and his team was talking about how they didnt see anything special about Trout. This is a classic case of when CHERRY PICKING GOES WRONG

Pacy fans stay ducking this thread..

It might have something to do with Bob and expressing how he wouldn't make fights if he thought his man would lose. More specifically vs undefeated fighters.

He helped conspire the greatest duck in the history of the sport.

Can this man get any worse? Thanks to Cotto we know who trout is now and we can now throw him in the mix of fighters that people need to fight at 154, if it was for Arum then Cotto would be fighting for another vacate title against another mediocre or shot fighters.

Not everyone is only about money. Arum is and doesnt understand when people care about other things. Cotto will be fine for the rest of his life financially. When GBP tells cotto to avoid trout they are telling him they think he cant beat him and cotto says **** that I believe I can and wants the fight for reasons other than money. Arum literally has more money than he can spend before he dies and he still pinches pennies.

Everyone knows, they all know... This is why Teddy atlas on ESPN alway ram it down the throats of the other idiots who don't know sheet about how Arum works, I doubt Nonito-Rigo happens now especially after reading this sheet.
