I thought Bradley was a fine opponent and also don't think Guerrero is a bad opponent. I'd obviously prefer Floyd to fight Martinez, but it makes sense to take on a little easier challenge before facing bigger guys. This isn't to say he is going to face Martinez since he is apparently looking at Canelo, but I can understand the decision to fight Guerrero at least.

Inb4 canelo looks impressive again, and mayweather avoids him like the plague.

We all know Arum and Golden Boy are two of the best match makers in boxing. All due respect to Miguel Cotto for actually fighting an up and comer in the sport. Isn't that what boxing is supposed to be about?

Are you seriously insinuating that Mayweather is ducking Canelo? Who the hell has Canelo beat to get his name and reputation honored like that?

It's ok to cherrypick in order to set up a superfight. He could have whipped Bundrage for example and made about the same amount of money as he did for Trout. Then he could have cashed in big time against Canelo.

He doesn't have much time left in the sport so it's important for him to maximize his revenues.

But I do respect Cotto for being willing to fight anybody. He's a warrior.

Im not quite there yet, but my mind is starting to head down that path. What good reason is there for mayweather to pass on canelo, to fight a smaller/inferior fighter in guerrero....on cinco de mayo? Canelo, each fight, is proving himself to be a strong, dangerous youthful fighter. Absolutely demolished a guy that broke victor ortiz' jaw. Funny you should say 'what has canelo done'? Let me throw that back at you....what has guerrero done?

Inb4 mayweather fights an inferior fighter in guerrero, then pushes hard as hell to get a fight with pacquiao. Mayweather isnt getting any younger, and canelo is only getting better.

Canelo and Martinez are two fights id like to see for mayweather before he retires. Sadly, ill feel extremely fortunate if just one of those fights happen. Robert guerrero....really?
