It's a very risky fight for Khan especially as most of the casuals will just look at Lopez's record and see like 5 or 6 losses and automatically think Khan should have an easy day with him. High risk, not so high reward.

I give a lot of credit to Khan if he takes this fight. I don't think any real boxing fan would begrudge Khan of another Molina type fight given how he showed he was still making the same mistakes agaisnt Molina, yet if he takes the Lopez fight i'd give him big credit. Khan has proved in the past though that he's willing to take on all corners, and taking tune up fights is not something Khan likes to do, even when maybe it would be the right thing for him to do so.
I agree with this post, except I can't let you get away with that whole Khan does not take tune up notion..Salita Mccloskey(I would even throw Paulie M in there)are all tune up kinda fights imo...

But I do agree,Khan does take tough fights..I mean dude has fought Judah Peterson and Garcia..Not a bad last 3 fights if ya ask me...I do believe(and would not be mad at Khan)he needs another tune up fight to keep working on his style with Hunter..One thing is for sure,Lopez is not a tune up..If Khan takes this fight right now..BIG Props goes to Khan..

Good fight. Amir needs to slow down. He is still very young, and has plenty of time for big fights in his career. Work way back up. Lopez shocker over Vic was nice, but not in a manner that he was outclassing Vic throughout the fight. All in all, I agree with most when saying that this is a good safe fight to rebuild. I dont hate it

If this fight gets made, man khan sure jumps right back into the fire quick. Lopez is definitely a threat to anyone it light welterweight.
