damn i miss the prime Kelly Pavlik in your sig, one of the best finishers in the sport for a while.

On thread i would like to see this fight, like people have been saying Lopez likes to **** and can punch with his opponent, would show how many improvements Khan has made under Hunter.

I see Khan being slightly too fast and too technical for him, but Lopez has a history of upsets so..

Agreed. I would have expected a few more tune-up fights, so Khan could work on his style; but apparently not...

Your right about Pav..I often wonder if B-Hop ruined him mentally...

But I think it would be too soon for us to see Hunters improvements so soon...That's why I believe Lopez should be favored in this match..Look at Khans rec when he does not have the reach advantage..I think he is like 0-2 against fighters as tall as him..Khan will always have a speed advantage,he is one of the fastest fighters in the game..But when his opponent can find range quick and apply pressure Khan does not do well at all...I just think if this fight happens next it would be a lil to soon imo..I would have to favor Lopez, too much too soon for Khan if it get's made right now...

Im not one for caring about fighters outside of the ring and getting all emotional over what they say and do outside of the ring like 99% of the crybabies on this forum but Josesito Lopez is probably my most favourite active fighter right now.

Watching him on the all access episodes against Canelo and interviews etc mixed with the heart and guts he shows inside of the ring i can't help but like the guy. He's a old school blood and guts warrior and i really hope he gets a fight with Khan. I would give him a good chance of pulling off the victory and at the very least he would get another well deserved big payday.

Boxing needs more Josesito Lopez's IMO, he's a throwback warrior. The way he was still fighting back when Canelo was pounding away on his body was pure warrior ****.

I think it would be a great fight so i really hope it get's made.

I agree with you that this fight could well be a step too soon for Khan with a new trainer. He showed against Molina he still needed at least another non risky fight but Lopez would most certainly not be a non risky fight.

It's a very risky fight for Khan especially as most of the casuals will just look at Lopez's record and see like 5 or 6 losses and automatically think Khan should have an easy day with him. High risk, not so high reward.

I give a lot of credit to Khan if he takes this fight. I don't think any real boxing fan would begrudge Khan of another Molina type fight given how he showed he was still making the same mistakes agaisnt Molina, yet if he takes the Lopez fight i'd give him big credit. Khan has proved in the past though that he's willing to take on all corners, and taking tune up fights is not something Khan likes to do, even when maybe it would be the right thing for him to do so.

tall rangey chin and can ****..

                    very risky fight..

                    would be 50/50

but khan needs to beat these sorts of fighters if he wants to reach the levels he wants..
