Wlad won his first international title in his 17th pro fight, and he won his first world heavyweight championship belt in 2000, at the age of 24.

Price fighting one tomato can after another won't make him championship material overnight.

As of right now I would say Thompson does a lot more than a win over Wilder would. Thompson beat Guinn when he was reasonable, Witherspoon, Ibragimov etc
He has mixed with world class opposition where as Wilder hasn't even fought a top 50 heavyweight.
Thompson's no slouch, there is some risk involved and personally I feel hes better than Johnson, Chisora & the likes.
Thompson is a top 10 ranked heavyweight or there about, not sure why people are expecting more at this stage.
Lets not forget, he did give Wladimir a stern test the first time around too.

Ahh come on man why do you give Thompson so much credit. Who would he beat in the top 10? Admit he's a shot has been contender past 2times wlad opponents who's name now Price wants to feast on. Price needs to fight someone alive.

I think he'd beat Banks and maybe Adamek. Solis hasn't looked to good lately either, I think you'd probably have to give him a shot there.

This is a massive step up from Skelton, Harrison and the likes. You can't go from fighting guys like that to say a Klitschko.

Are you telling me Thompson will beat Adamek? Then you're trolling. You like Thompson a lot, or you just want to counter argue me?

                Dan, you're kidding, right?

Its a decent match-up. Nothing to write home about, mind.

Maloney is the problem; Price won't get anywhere near a world title fight with him as his promoter.

I'm not kidding no. I think Thompson would probably beat Adamek at this point in their careers who I think is well on the decline, not a very good heavyweight and been in a lot of hard fights. I think his awkward southpaw style would give Adamek hell.

Adameks had a very fortunate heavyweight run and got through merely on sheer heart and determination.

I mean look how many fights Wilder has and who he is fighting.

Look who Wladimir, Pianeta, Vitali, Chagaev, Mitchell & that was fighting in their 15th pro fight. Sure as hell wasn't anywhere near the quality of Thompson.
Thompson has also lost to Eric Kirkland. Get your facts right.

Thompson is only a baby step up from the last opponents.

I didn't include that as it was a disputed decision extremely early in his career. Just like how B-Hop lost his debut, its pretty fcuking irrelevant.
