In a 15 fight career, who else should he have fought by now?

This cannot be a tune up fight, Thompson has no other ambition than a pay day. What a joke this fight is. Price gains nothing from knocking out Thompson. What does this 'propel' him to? Price should fight Fury, Chisora, Haye, any other live contender. Beating up old shot men does nothing for Price.

Roberts & Hickey better evacuate this forum when Fury inevitably gets sparked by second rate competition. Fury doesn't want Price, so no go for Price there. Chisora is having a lay-off and Haye isn't a fight that should happen yet. People were quick to praise Fury's fight against Johnson and dismiss Price's against Thompson's but Johnson was a disgrace. Posturing all night and offering nothing new to Fury, Thompson is going to have to try really hard to match Johnson's uninspiring and useless performance.

I don't care about age, he's only lost to Wlad. He's proven at a certain level, a level which Price is yet to exploit - so how you can dismiss the fight is beyond me. A southpaw to boot too and a good puncher. Hardly impressive in his recent outings but no one can really criticism him as much as what they are, especially Fury fans.

yup, this is a perfect opponent for Price indeed. + 40 year old loser waiting for a payday.

Reminds of Bruno verses faded Gerrie Coetzee, came for some shopping and sightseeing with a payday at Wembley, fight told us nothing about Bruno.

Thompson is a good fight. A big, experienced southpaw who has only lost to Wladimir.

I mean look how many fights Wilder has and who he is fighting.

Look who Wladimir, Pianeta, Vitali, Chagaev, Mitchell & that was fighting in their 15th pro fight. Sure as hell wasn't anywhere near the quality of Thompson.

Only lost to Wladimir, and defeated who, Witherspoon? Price will never get anywhere fighting old bums. Wilder would be a good fight for Price.

Wlad won his first international title in his 17th pro fight, and he won his first world heavyweight championship belt in 2000, at the age of 24.

Price fighting one tomato can after another won't make him championship material overnight.
