According to promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions, former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32KOs) will return on a date in May against an opponent ranked in the top ten of the World Boxing Council. The next plan would be a rematch with current WBC champion Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28KOs). Both boxers would have to win their upcoming bouts. Martinez defends his belt against Martin Murray on April 27th in Argentina. HBO will televise the fights of both men.
