What's with all the "Guerrero deserves the shot against Floyd"?

So with a win over Berto, the ghost goes from unknown to Floyd to most deserving at 147? If you ask me, Bradley is more deserving than the ghost. Although he really lost to Pac, he holds a technical win over him, including Devon Alexander and Lamont Peterson. This alone is more impressive than anything Guerrero has done.
He's also available as Bradley may be fighting Peterson while Alexander (may be more deserving as well) is tied up with Brook.
Aydin and Berto were both considered to be top 15 WWs at least, so Guerrero is not a ridiculous opponent. His track record before moving up also was decent.Comment

Something I've noticed about Floyd fans.
When his opponent is perceived as low risk/high reward, he gets praised for making "smart business decisions". Example: Choosing Baldomir over Margarito.
When his opponent is perceived as high risk its "what has he done to earn a shot at Floyd. Example: Canelo. Or "Floyd would beat him anyway".Last edited by Deevel916; 12-21-2012, 12:34 AM.Comment

I truly believe Canelo should fight someone in his own division before getting a shot at Floyd. Also, if Floyd is going to fight someone that big then it should probably be Sergio especially since he is older as well and has at least offered a catchweight unlike Canelo. He has also accomplished more against legitimate challenges in the ring.Comment

I have great respect for Floyd's boxing ability and skills, but I'm no fanboy.

I know, seriously man. Floyd ducked the entire elite WW division and waited for Manny Pacquiao to clean house and wipe em' out.
Floyd is a good fighter to me, he just blantantly wouldn't fight the best.
I'll still take Manny over Floyd if the fight ever happens.
Triangle Theories don't work, and Floyd didn't fight the JMM juiced and PED'd up that Manny did, so let's not say Floyd automatically wins, because he doesn't.Comment
